This place is truly a gem. We have been traveling and stopped in Idaho Falls. Our daughter picked this place. Our waitress Lyn was amazing! The food is fine dining and the atmosphere was great! Chef Jay made delicious food for our entire table! Our daughter is a Celiac and we were impressed that she was able to have so many options from drinks to dessert! We would for sure be regulars if we lived closer. Thank you to the staff and Chef for an amazing experience!

When we first drove by we almost decided to not go based on the location and environment around the building. Then after quickly reading some reviews my husband and I decided we had to try it thanks to the managers hilarious response comments to negative reviews. We are so glad we decided to try it because the food was delicious, the service was spectacular, and the ambiance was charming and cozy. The building is an old railroad bunk house that has been lovingly restored. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were making me happy dance at every bite. My only regret is that I can’t physically leave a bad review to enjoy an epic roast from the manager.

We’ve been twice now and can’t go without ordering the cauliflower wings, brussel sprouts, and bananas foster dessert! The steaks are amazing and worth selling your least favorite child for! I really want to leave a bad review just to get scorched by the owner, who is just as awesome as the food. He came and chatted with our table and is passionate about his restaurant.

The service was great, and the food was delish. I'd never had the banana foster, not 100% sure of the name, but it was the first one on the dessert menu. Omfg, was it delicious. I asked no chocolate because I don't like it, but for caramel lovers, it was like heaven on earth for a min. Haha. Definitely give it a try, and I recommend making reservations so you're not turned away very, very small and cold in the winter, but it's worth it.

I must say I was a bit skeptical at first due to the looks of the building on the outside, but my mind was quickly changed as soon as we stepped inside, the ambiance was amazing and comforting. We were quick greeted and sat by one of the hostesses there. Our waitress Lyn was just an absolute gem, making jokes with us and making sure we were take care of throughout our dinner! The brisket burnt ends were amazing as well as the lamp lollipops!! Main course was the Australian Wagyu Ribeye and, it was just to die for!!! Drinks were absolutely amazing as well. During our meal the owner/chef Jay come out and greeted us, that was the icing on the cake! Kudos to his 3 cooks in the back!! Definitely a 10/10 experience!! Looking forward to dinning there soon!... PS: expect to spend a little money there BUT absolutely worth it!!

This is the best restaurant in Idaho Falls! Had a phenomenal experience for Valentines day. Was able to get a reservation by calling far in advance for Valentine's Day. We arrived at 7:30 on a Sunday and were greeted by a very friendly waitress and seated within minutes. The interior is very cozy, not a giant place by any means. We really enjoyed the decor, the lighting, and general vibe as soon as we walked in. Ordered a perfectly made Old-fashioned that was promptly delivered to the table. For appetizers, we ordered the ahi-tuna and stuffed mushrooms. This is where the fun really began. The Tuna was perfectly seared and seasoned. The chef took the time to bring out real Wasabi and grind it on a shark-skin grater to accompany the Tuna. I have never tried real Wasabi before this and it blew me away how superior it was to the normal imitation Wasabi served everywhere in the US. It's worth visiting this restaurant just to experience real imported Japanese Wasabi. The stuffed mushrooms were also delicious. Moving on to the mains, we ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and the Ribeye Cap. Just can't emphasize enough how well cooked and seasoned they were. The chef is obviously highly skilled. Delicious delicious. Struck up a great conversation with the chef and he explained the process of how he was able to obtain genuine Kobe and Wagyu beef that is never frozen. It was fascinating to see the pride and care he takes to share a great experience with his patrons. Ordered the brownie dessert to split and it was a perfect end to the meal. A rose was also put on our table for Valentines day, which was a nice touch. This was our first time visiting this establishment and the chef kindly let us try the Wagyu beef. Utterly amazing and8 different from any steak I've had. Please do yourself a favor and check this spot out. The quality of food, the great service, and the obvious passion towards dining isn't matched anywhere close by. We cant wait to visit again

We have lived in the Idaho Falls area our entire lives, and have known of D'railed for quite some time but never really felt we had a special enough occasion to go, as it is widely regarded as a top of the line, yet still local, eatery. On a whim (but with reservations) we decided to treat ourselves, and were not disappointed in any aspect. Before going, you should know and recognize that the charm of this restaurant is in no small part based on the history of the building. It was previously a railroad boarding house, and sits (not surprisingly) directly across the street from the railroad tracks. Depending on whether you are a local or not, you may call this a less desirable neighborhood, but again, the charm comes from the history and unconventionality. In other reviews, some people have mentioned the parking situation. I'm not sure when people become too uppity to park in a gravel lot, but here's the deal. There is plenty of on street parking for a block in both directions that doesn't require you to park in gravel. If you'd like to park directly across from the restaurant, the gravel lot is your choice. And to be clear, it's not really a "lot", per se, as there is barely room to pull your vehicle nose-in off the road into the gravel so it's not like you are going to walk across a gravel pit. It's literally 5 steps to asphalt. The building itself it no fuss. If you didn't know it was a restaurant, you could drive by thinking it was a row house. Once inside, the dining area is relatively small and intimate. We were seated right by the front door, which we enjoyed as it allowed for really nice people watching. It seems as though everyone who came in had a smile on and was excited to be there, and the few people who were turned away without reservations were genuinely disappointed. We were seated and served our drink orders very promptly. Joy was our server, and if the owner is reading this, please give her a raise or a nice Christmas bonus because she was phenomenal. She was very well versed on the menu, and was able to tell us about every item we inquired on, as well as happily share her favorites. Plus, she was very personable and just a genuinely nice person! For starters, we had the Cotton Candy Brisket. Amazing, moist, and great flavor. For dinner, my wife had the Caesar Salad, and I had the New York Strip Wagyu. Both were delicious and as ordered. But honestly, the star of the dinner was the potatoes we also ordered. They don't seem to be on the menu that's currently on Google and I can't remember what they were called, but they seemed to be a fried mashed potato, with brisket and a hollandaise sauce on top. Oh my lanta, we both ordered them as a side and just gushed over them! Joy said they were fairly new to the menu and I hope they stay. They are an entire meal in themselves! For dessert, we ordered the Slattern Brownie, which is a skillet-served brownie topped with ice cream, whip cream and I think candied almonds? Anyway, between the two of us we couldn't finish it even though, dang, *chef's kiss*. To top off the evening, my wife was given a long stem rose and a thank you on our way out. I mean, talk about guaranteeing a return trip! We're not sure why we haven't been before, but our overall experience was spot on and I can't say enough good about the whole night. What a little treasure in our town!
